Buffalo Cauliflower Poppers

Inspired by traditional Buffalo wings, these Buffalo Cauliflower Poppers offer a healthy, vitamin-packed alternative to the classic dish without sacrificing flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 2 eggs
  • ? cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • ? cup Buffalo sauce

Instructions

Air Fryer Instructions

  1. Cut the cauliflower into medium-sized florets and set aside. In a large, resealable freezer bag, combine the flour, salt and garlic. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk to combine.
  2. Toss cauliflower florets in the egg mixture and then add them to the bag with the flour mixture. Seal the bag and shake to coat all the cauliflower florets with the flour mixture.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees, then add the breaded cauliflower to the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of you air-fryer you may have to do this in batches. Brush or spray the florets with olive oil and air fry for 10 minutes.
  4. Place the Buffalo sauce in a large bowl. Toss the cauliflower florets with the sauce, then return them to the air fryer basket and fry for an additional 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

Oven Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.

  3. Toss cauliflower florets in the egg mixture and then add them to the bag with the flour mixture. Seal the bag and shake to coat all the cauliflower florets with the flour mixture. Place florets on the prepared baking sheet and spray or brush with olive oil.
  4. Bake the cauliflower on top of the wire rack for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and toss with Buffalo sauce. Bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until cauliflower poppers are crispy.
